Actinide Series Metals
The metals from actinide series have radioactive substances. These metals have high density. These rare earth metals are known to be electropositive. These metals strongly react with non-metallic elements. If these metals react with boiling water, they release hydrogen gas.
Lanthanide Series Metals
Those metals that belong to lanthanides series are soft. Metals of this category burns in the air. They release hydrogen gas when these rare earth metals react with water. In general, rare Earth elements of the lanthanide series adhere to water. These react well with dilute acids at room temperature also release hydrogen.
